    What what you do?

I've been trying to sell my truck for sometime now with no luck. I have been wanting a single cab 2wd for the weight savings and less BS 4x4 stuff to deal with. But I made up my mind Im keeping it but I have a delema to deal with, nitrous or turbo. I will be shooting for high 11sec time slips and still be able to drive it every day without to much problem. I use this truck as my company truck and want reliabilty. I will be swaping out the tired 5.3 and 4l60e for a forged 408 and 4l80e. If I go with the turbo it will be a nelson build 4 sure. Nitrous will be done buy me and tuned by nelson. The price is a little steeper on the turbo side but it may be more reliable
With that being said what would you go with spray or gas? I know this is the debate of the century but I need to decide quick so I can start rat holeing parts asap.
The truck is in my sig

The thing is, if youre running a descent shot it has to be tuned for that, so unless you have hp tuners etc.. Youll be driving around on a nitrous tune when you dont need it, so then youre losing the 408s potential driving around on a nitrous tune. For me it wasnt bad cus i have hp flash in aa n2o tune go race, flash back in the motor tune. Basically if you have hp id say run nitrous, if not just go turbo and dont hassle with it.

With a 408 that you wanna drive a lot? Nelson had a big cube motor build with a huge snail. He said it was a great ride, because out of boost it was easy to handle and when you got in it. Watch out, because it was a rocket. Sounds like a legit combo to me.

Another thing to consider is the cost in the long run. Going turbo may cost more from the get-go but think of how many times you'd be refilling the nitrous bottle.

Yea 11s and reliable don't go together lol. I had a 11 sec truck before trucks were cool and drove it a total of 1500 miles in 4 years. Turbo is the way Im headed I think. The only thing I'm worried about is the tranny holding up.

These threads always stir the pot, both sides have die hard devotees.

I've had a kit on my truck close to a year, I've put 4 bottles through it. It never see's the track, just screwing around in Mexico. If that's your situation too, N2O is the better cheaper route. However, using it all the time, it adds up QUICK. And after having it, the novelty kinda wore off (mainly cuz i pay 80-100 to fill the bottle).

Moral of the story my trucks seeing a D1 in it's future.

iv had both turbo and nitrous on my ls1... they both made great power but imo the nitrous set up was much more dependable. But im with frenchy on this one...a D1 will prob be my next investment
