okay i have been planing on doing a 6.0 swap into a S-10, and want a cam that will pull though out the whole RPM band, i am thanking a 224/224 on 114, and would i need a tune or stall with that cam? i just want to stick wiht stock heads for now, so what kinda #'s could i Expect with that cam on stock heads and a good free flowing exuast and maybe a tune?

What gears, tires, trans do you have?
The 224 is a nice cam and will pull great from 2800rpms to 6500rpms.
To take advantage of the cam, you'll definitely need a tune. If not, your truck will be shifting at the stock rpms, idle will be fussy, and the truck will down on power.
Plus, you'll need a tune to take care of vats, accessories, etc.
Expect about 50hp at the flywheel from that cam in a stock 6L.

good luck,

allen
