    mine had a bad miss in it and come to find out one of the rocker arms failed and the valve was not opening. Didn't make any noise, either.

    i was just driving my truck and when i was sittin at the light it started missing bad it would almost sound like a lifter was nocking for a min then it would stop, it only makes the nocking noise like once then it just idles funny... o and when i give it gas from a dead stop it putts really bad and almost doesnt wanna go but then it picks up... i have never had this problem before... i have had a miss before but not like this... one of my friends said it almost feels as if its running way to lean

    Valve train problem wouldn't be a bad thing to look into. Pull the valve covers it takes like 10 minutes.

    may sound wierd,but pull valve covers and check ur pushrods and rocker arm, may have a beant or broke one, not leating cylinder fire corectly

    Check the fuel pressure.

    the reason i dont think its valve train cause the sound isnt continuous.. it only happens everyonce in a while, i have had a lifter problem with my other truck and it knocked everytime the truck was on but this knock is very faint and only happens once or twice the whole time im in the truck... but the fuel on the other hand is something i have never had a problem with so that could be and issue

    Ok first i need to say sorry to Allen for questioning the tune.... second thank you to emmeric5.3 cause i went to clean my MAF and i noticed 2 of the wires were cut a little bit and i guess they were touching so it was shorting out so i cut them and shrinkwrapped them and now my truck is running way better hasent missed since... Sweettt
