Just wondering if a lot of you guys remove the MAF screen. Since i have a turbo i got to thinking that maybe it is a restriction to the BOOSTED air going through it. So if someone has done it and noticed a difference and didn't get a MIL, then let me know. Thanks!

Exactly what kind of problems have you guys run into by removing it? All I ever hear is don't do it but no real explanation of why, except it will mess with your tune. Mine is removed and I'm having minor issues at startup but I'm not sure if this is the cause.

It will lean out your tune tremendously.

OK that's probably my problem then. When I had the truck dynoed my A/F ratio was about 14.2:1, I wouldn't really call that severe though would you, but enough to lose hp. Also at cold startup it runs funny kinda like it has a vacuum leak. I'm assuming the computer is searching for the correct ratio until the O2's get heated up. Does this sound like a descreened maf problem to yall?
