sounds like you're connecting to the wrong a/c wire. The harness seems like it's working correctly if all works when you do touch the green to positive. All other indicators you describe sound correct except when hooking to the a/c green wire. Do you have a 12v test light? If you connect the test light to the green a/c wire and it does the same thing, no a/c, then you must have the wrong wire.
    OK,

time to eat some major crow:

Went back and looked at the wire loom. I had tapped into a dk green wire that had a faint white stripe on the backside- did not appreciate the stripe yesterday evening in the dusk sunlight. Fished through the loom and in the very backside was another larger dk green wire. Tapped and checked it - perfect. So now everything works as intended. High fans come on with the a/c switched. Thanks guys!!!

Glad I could have been of assistance. I just knew it had to be something simple. I've never used one of Allen's harnesses but they seem very straight forward.

Glad to see you got it going. For others who read this, it's a good idea to test the a/c wire when the a/c compressor is on, it should have 12+ when on.

Redhearbeat, once again, THANKS! for replying so fast and taking care of this.

    thanks,

No problem Allen. Now if I had one of those sitting here on my shelf for reference I could be even more help.
