I just bought a brand new set of these (88958622) and was wondering if anyone makes a head gasket to lower the compression ratio? I'm also running a .581 lift cam and know there's gonna be an issue there. This is the reason for the thicker gasket. I've got a brand new set of hardened pushrods and springs in the 241 heads I have now. I'll probably sell the LS6 springs and the hardened pushrods once I get the right combo together and post them here. Give me some feedback. Thanks

Complete Cylinder Head with springs and valves.
    Combustion chamber volume 60-61cc
    Intake runner volume 250cc
    Exhaust runner volume 85cc
    Intake valve diameter 2.00"
    Exhaust valve diameter 1.55"
Intake valves are lightweight hollow stem design
Exhaust valves are sodium filled for improved cooling
.055" machined from deck surface of head-Intake pilot pin bosses will need chamfered, and 7.325" pushrods should be utilized.
CNC Port work done by Lingenfelter
Special LS6 valve springs good for .570" lift
Will increase compression ration to 11.2:1

Damn, that's a nice head. Sounds like time for octane booster. Can two MultiLayerSteel(MLS) head gaskets be stacked? Being steel it shouldn't be an issue, should it?

btw, how long are those pushrods, I am looking for 7.45" to make up for the smaller base circle of the Z06 cam.

Doesn't Cosmetic make thinner head gaskets?

RHB - Steel head gaskets stacked, not sure bro but it's something I'm gonna consider.

djkir23 - I'll post them here on the forum as soon as I make the swap.

chrisj6 - They are hardened 7.4 MTI pushrods. I remember you wanted some 7.45's in the LS6 cam post. I'll still post them when I'm through with the swap just incase you or someone else is interested.

Zick - If they make thinner, maybe they make thicker. I'll look into them.

I'm really worried about the valve to piston clearance with the .581 lift after some reading. I'll probably use some modeling clay on top of the piston to take the clearance since it doesn't spring. Bare with me on the springs and pushrods guys, I don't want to tear these heads apart without all the info I need.

That's a damn good price! As soon as I find out how much valve clearance I need I'll do it. Thanks RHB
