    You buy they from local salvage yard or big chain salvage yards like lkq or green leaf the 5.3 go for 475-700 and 6.0 for 1000-1800 depends on year or lq9 or lq4

    well one thing i dont understand is when you buy a used motor how do you know how many miles they say are on there is really true

    you find it still in a vehicle with a picture of the odometer when it came in & then trust they are honest enough to send you the same one. you also get somebody with a carfax account to run the VIN & account for the mileage

    My 90,xxx mile LQ4 still had the factory cross-hatch in the cylinders.

    Mileage wouldn't worry me much with these.

    Cross hatch is one thing, still gotta worry bout bearings. Even then a bearing ring rebuild is pretty cheap
