First track times with the 07 NNBS

went to the tonight. First time I have ever ran my truck, its a 1/8 mile track. I wasnt too happy with the times. First two passes I spun for over half track. I never could stall the truck up or I would spin too much. Best pass of the day was

    60' 2.305
    330 6.590
    1/8 10.053
    mph 71.81

thats with the 20" wheels, 4.10 gears, volant CAI, Magnaflow muffler, Diablo tune. I tried my hardest to get her into the 9's but couldnt get it. I am waiting on my Nelson tune to come in, and I am going to get my trans built with a Trailblazer converter so maybe that will help.

Do you have the G80 or a truetrac? The G80 will allow the rear to spin one tire while the truetrac will lock them both in. In you current configuration you shouldn't be spinning down the track unless you're peglegging.

I still have the g80 sometimes one tire will spin but I asked the guys I was with and they said white smoke was coming off both tires..

you should of been able to hook with that 285 tire.

Normally it will hook. Even with the 4.10's it's not strong off the line.. I think the track was just crappy.

Yeah I had plans of a turbo so I bought at 3000 or 3200 stall about a year ago but those plans fell through.. Thinking about just putting trailblazer converter in for now.

id get a real converter IMO those TB stalls tend to fall apart once
real power is pushed through them. talk to Chris at CircleD an te him
your plans/wants an he'll point you in the right direction.
i have a CircleD 3200 in my CC an i love it. my 60' is a 2.0xx if the G80 will keep locked with good track prep.

i wish i had 4:10s already...id love to see 13.99s with no motor work

Yeah I'm going to just do the TB converter for now. If I need more ill GED a different one. I am saving up for a trutrac right now though.

390 or so from Ron's Machine Shop shipped
what kind of mileafe do you see with those 4:10s?
