NOT ONLY do i run another 17.2 at the track tonight... i run again, tranny slips or something i dont know. but i pull out like an 18 or something i dont know i cant count that high.

some guy got really hurt at the track. heard parts of the story. he was doing a burnout in his drag coupe i think with a passenger, it went sideways, started rolling and both of them flew out of the car, and the car rolled on the man. they were at the very back of the strip where i think your allowed to do a small takeoff. im sorry if i got the details wrong, thats just what i heard.

oh and to top off my night, i drop my friend off, im driving down the access road, and a huge damn buck runs out in front, BAM. i need a new grille and a radiator. so yeah not a good night. but all in all i got to meet some nice guys that enjoy the art of making trucks fast.

I hope your tranny comes out okay, but it doesn't sound too promising...and that sucks about the deer (isn't deer season NEXT month?!?!?&#33. Be glad it wasn't worse (like those two at the track).

Good to meet you, and all the other guys; we will have to set that up again real soon...well after my cam anyway!!!

It was good to meet you guys! It's to bad the fun was cut short by the accident. I only got 1 run, but it was my best 13.80 @ 103. My 60 was 1.32 (ouch).

The yellow Sierra was there. He didn't get to make a run, but it looked really sweet and sounded nice!

Everybody I've met from this forum have been really cool guys!

its not that it was slipping. i dont know how to explain it. i was just gonna run it through like first and second. (automatic) and like i had it in first, and i punched it off the line, the tires spun, and it went through first like not even a car length past the tree. i dont htink my tires hooked up. and then i went to put it in second, and when i did it liked took it a second, then like hit into gear kinda hard. so it like like maybe a half a second to one second before it actually engaged second gear. its done this before when im just normally driving it around in san marcos.

man effe that deer. im so bummed.

I've hit 8 deer in my truck. You'll get used to it.

I can hook you up at Lacy Paint and Body in Americus, Ga though!!
They keep my paint pre-mixed probably

Sounds like the 2nd gear band banged. Mine did that for about a week and then I had to limp around from 1st to 3rd until I got around to replacing the band and drum that it clamps around.

Ross, you got a 1.32 60 ft time? Damn, what did you bring to the track, a rocket ship? My 60 ft times are alway 2.+.
