Why did the battery die? Bad alt, or just old battery?

There is no idle learn procedure LOL.

A previous post nailed it and I actually fixed one today...2003 Tahoe electric throttle I replaced a battery on yesterday came back today surging idle and dying at stops and high loads.

Throttle clean sends them on their way.

Do you have access to GM STG 16013.00-2? It is listed in there. I copied it verbatim from the GM training document.

I have no idea what that is...the nomenclature is unfamiliar. Back in the PROM days we needed to relearn idle on vehicles with ISC and very rarely with IAC but not in the last 15 or so years for the most part. Did you get that out of the same manual as the 4L80 pin-out?

No, that was a crappy ATSG manual. The other was from a GM ASE training manual GEN III V8 Specialized Engine Rapair manual. Published by the Service Technology Group, General Motors Corporation, Warren Michigan.
