Sounds bad something broken internally or maybe . . . . . . .

99RCSB Broke because I wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on my truck.
Do you have disk brakes in the rear? If so take the rotors off and see if the parking brake lining has separated from the shoe.
lmao,i was trying to take the u joints off with the driveshaft under the truckkk.i hit it a billions times my little brother came and hit it three times and popd right off...!
and no i dont have disk brakes
Maybe u just had a crack last week ,and now the diff split ,after alittle abuse.I had a similar sitch happen.

it sounds like the yoke on the rear ennd
That's not a U-joint. If you have N20 and slicks go launch it and look at the pieces. Kiss the rear good bye. That's ain't no u-joint noise unless you need a new camera.
Bump..!!
could it be the yoke in the rear end? because i just put this rear end about 7500 miles ago.....
could be that your driveshaft is too short. Unbolt it from rear and then see how far it slides into the transmission. If more than 1" then it's too short and needs to be lengthened.
