Huh? The 6L has not trouble at all behind a 403 horse stock engine which is more than most people running modded 5.3's.

Anyone get a 6L to easily work in a swap? Don't think that's working either unless you swap the 6.2 and all the harness and computer.

Are you having trouble with the 6L in the Denali or are you just looking for converter options?? ^^^^

Who are you talking too? Stock converters behind the A6 tranny are not burning up. It is the aftermarket "Higher" stalls that are lasting maybe "weeks" in the vehicle. I have seen 600+rwhp going thru a "stock" A6 setup with NO problems. Put a Yank or Prescision or anybody elses converter in the vehicle and it goes to the crapper. Lockup issue's, flare shifts, no lockup, etc....

I want to know if Circle D has been trying anything with this tranny. I have tuned alot of Vette's, G8's, and Denali trucks with total success when it comes to a hard hitting and responsive tranny, but the A6 TCM is not interested in a high stall converter. It would be a whole new thread about what is causing it in the tranny.

We have built a lot of 6L80 converters. We have them in the 245MM or 258MM version. Single disk or multi disk. I send a lot of them over to Australia for the Holden. Those guys really like to race and I love the accent. But back to tour question. When we were first testing them, the tuners were having some issues, bumping the rev limiter and not shifting. Most of that is worked out now and we have some of the fastest G8 and Holdens out there. Not real sure if that answers your question, but I have not had any burn up. Just some shifting problems because of the higher stall.

As far as the stock verter in the 6.2 with the 6L80, it will be the 300MM low stall. So same converter they were using in the 4L60, just setup for the 6L80. Probably rated at 1500-1700.

That is what I wanted to hear Chris. I guess Yank and the others need to buy your converters and learn your secrets. LOL. Can you loosen up one about 500 or so rpm's for the wife's Denali? Not looking for anything crazy just alittle bit more take off and better MPG's.

Are you making the Billet covers for the 6l80 converters?

    thanks,

    thanks,
We can change out the pump to one off a 4.8L on a 4L60. Converter it over to a 6L80 and it is about a 500 RPM increase. We can also change them out to our famous 278MM 11", but that would be about a 1000 RPM increase.

Yes, we have our own inhouse CNC equipment and design and test them. We do outsource some parts from various suppliers. But our Multi is a custom Circle D piece. I have had numerous request from other converter shops for me to make a kit I would sell to them. Thought about it, but I can barley keep up now.

Here are a few pics of the CNC equipment.
