I'll pick up ET like a mofo, but no MPH right? Or will I gain MPH? I don't think so as it's related to power... not being undergeared.

    Any clues?

I picked up 6 mph and dropped one full second changing to 4.10s from 3.07s and going from 32s to 26.7 tires.

Guys at the performance shop tell me that you actually lose hp when you go up on gears. 3.07s would put more hp to the ground than the 4.10s I have now. Something about parasitic losses.

If I don't gain any MPH I'll drop about 0.6 off my 0-60 times Kevin and I reckon... and about 0.8-1.2 off the 1/4mi. If I do gain even 2mph, I'll drop 1.05 off the 0-60.

I have my gears on the way, just need the Eaton now, and install kits.

umm hit man x you will lose 6/10 in the 1/4 not in the 60' since your going from 3.42 and 33" tires to 4.56 gears and 33" tires later, kevin

    those guys are retards.

gears simply put you in or out of your powerband, they dont effect hp directly(gain or lose)

Maybe they are retards but they own a dyno and do gear installs and have some of the fastest f-bodies and late model vettes in the southwest according to the last shootout in Louisiana last fall. Check out the retards at www.real-performance-motorsports.com.
