I'm just going to take it to a trans shop and pay out the ass for it. Then I'll probably sell it. I can't afford to stay in the game with stuff breaking.

put unbreakable (less prone to breakage) parts in it.

Just read this entire post. My FLT suffered the same fate. Bought a used 65e to keep me road worthy for a few months. Both 65e's sitting in the garage floor now and finishing up the 80e swap here shortly. Good luck with it bro!

I can't keep spending money. I'll either get it fixed and keep it and try like crazy to baby it until I can get a daily beater, or sell it.

I guess we know the limits of a Level 5 65e then. Low 12 seconds / high 11's means it's time for an 80e.

Got the truck dropped off to Trans Pro in Terrell. Very good feeling about these guys. Got there at 5:00 and they were pulling a 70's Camaro, a 70's Z28, and a '55 Chevy into the garage for the night. All-out drag cars, all sounded NICE. They without a doubt know their stuff. They're starting on it Monday - pressure tests and stuff and then go from there. Thanks to Virgil for getting me in touch with them. They asked all the right questions (what gears, how many pounds of boost, what converter, etc) and said they wouldn't replace anything that didn't need it (after I told them we just put $500 worth of parts in it). I think this is going to turn out pretty good.

    I miss my truck.

If it was stock when we worked on it there would be no problem today provided the converter isn't messed.

The fact the FLT you have (had) was missing so many parts and had been "modified" so much made impossible to figure out what they did when it was "built" before.

Glad I'm not a moderator and I'm sure we won't see this post much longer....

FLT highly mods there trannys. Mine has lasted for 2 years. 6 or 7 months of mine had been with at least 500 crank horse power. And it is a heavy 4wd truck. I also drive it hard. I do think I have pushed its limits. I also think Moze has pushed the limits of his.
