    TX newbie

I was searching around for help on my swap and found this site. I've only heard of ls1tech.com, then i saw one for trucks and was like WTF. So I had 2 get in.

I own a 93 chevy ext cab that had a POS 4.3 with 4l60e...but just purchased a 6.0 with most accessories and harness/ ecm.

So far I have bolted up the old 4l60e and made my own adapters to sit the engine in. I know the 6.0 will tear up the tranny, but for now it will work. Its a lq4, 317 heads. Came out of a 2002 2500 series truck with 81,000 miles.

    crappy pic but...

    Welcome

There are quite a few of us that have done that swap. Ask if you have any questions. I've done a 92, and (3) 93 swaps now.

I did a search and found your thread, I saw you did a 5.3 swap in your 93 before the ls1. I know ALMOST all parts are interchangeable in the ls family. Did you get your stock gauges to work with your swap, if so what tranny did you use?
