Thread: Evaporatore core replacements SUCK

    I feel good about it so far. Of course, I may feel differently when none of my electronics work and I have a handful of bolts and screws left over.

    Damn a/c....I've spent about $500 in the past week trying to fix it. New evap core. New heater core. New accumulator. New orifice tube. New o-rings all around. Modified a/c line to clear the turbo manifold. Oil for evap core. Vacuum and recharge.

    I am glad I don't have a newer truck. I just had to replace my heater core, took all of 30 mins to swap it out and put on new lines.

    And to think you will really get to use it in about 6+months.lol So at least its all new stuff.

    This is an older thread...I've been enjoying my ice cold A/C all summer long Well, the part of the summer that my truck has been running anyway.

    Yeah, and when I said "all summer long" I really meant for the past 3 weeks since I found out that the low pressure switch was leaking.
