You must have traction problems. That has to bee the reason your not in the 8's!!!

Honestly man a 3k or 3500 converter would wake that truck up like you would not believe. You would not be spraying out of the hole anymore unless you had good slicks.

I have been going back and forth on a converter. I know I need one. But I can't decide on a trailblazer stall or a yank. I know the yank is better but I will only go to the track 1 or 2 more times. So which one is better for daily driving? And by the way, I was thinking .4 or .5 in the 1/4 mile, not the 1/8th. So in the 1/8th we r talkin maybe .2?

Depends on what you want to spend, and what you use the truck for. I race my truck and drive it to the store for beer.. So I would go with a 3800 whatever stall.. If it is your DD then you may go with something else.. All I can tell you is that the cam you have does not match your stock converter.

All that I can say is that I love my Vigilante 3500 stall!

LOL it was my first time EVER to the track and first time EVER launching my truck. the lauches were absolutely terrible and yes the rear tires hopped and spun a bit shifting 2nd and 3rd. i will break 8's on my full weight gear. 20's and tonneau i guarantee it.

I see your point now....plus the 6-speed makes it a little tougher for some as well.

DUDE TELL ME ABOUT IT lol holy hell i mean driving a standard is fun as hell but launching one is a whole NEW ASPECT FOR ME lol... its going to take some practice. its not as simple as brake, gas, go. i have to get my 2 feet to use 3 pedals, get the motor to the right RPM and be ready in like 3 seconds lol. its hard as hell. not to mention being nervous as hell. and not knowing the best way to launch a manual. its like well do i dump it or ride my clutch and blah blah... it goes on and on. and i only got 3 runs so dont give up on me just yet guys ill get you an 8.XX run before the winter gets here i swear on it. unless i break my truck.
