    Clunk

I did a break stand the other day and I heard a clunk from underneath. Today I got on it from a stop light and I heard it again, Its like there was a little pause and then hit. Could it be the U-joints or the tranny. It felt like a U-joint but not sure.

I dont't notice it if it does. If the U-joints are bad you can usally test it by turning the driveshaft back n forth to check for slop correct? Do they make beefy u-joints?

Last time I heard that it was axle wrap up. Look for damage on the bolt heads and rear driveshaft yoke area. The springs end up wrapping upwards and the pinion tries to point upwards when you brake stall like that.

How do I correct the situation? If nothing looks wrong, what can I do to avoid this from happening. I looked up traction bars and I didn't see anything for 2wd trucks. And if something looks twisted how do I get the correct angle? What does everyone else use to avoid this from happing?

Stop and pulling out, then it does it? Try lubing up the slip yoke on the splins.
