LS1 Upgrades

Hey guys I have a 2002 LS1 that was removed with 6k miles on it. I wnat to upgrade it without getting to wild. NO NOS and no forced induction. I really want a good running engine for a weekend cruising 91 chevy extended cab... I have a 4 link and a 3.73 positrac rearend.

What is a good streetable combination that will yeild me some good times

I dont; mind doing a head, intake tb change but really wanna leave the lower end intact.

I have the 4l60e that I plan on putting a billet servo and transgo kit in the tranny, and adding an upgraded converter. What combinations do you guys prefer?

try patriot performance ported heads, at least a 2002 ls6 cam to go with the good intake you already have, a set of headers for good flow numbers, NO2 for the smarty pantsed ricers, forged rods and arp brand rod bolts to bullet proof the lower end..... oh the list goes on and on and on....
