Great pics for someone starting a conversion or someone trying to clean up one they already started. Do you have part #'s for the tranny fittings? Those OEM quick disconnects are leaking on mine.

so this is probably a pretty newb wiring question BUT....

in the pics, there are 5-6 wires going to terminals on the passenger side firewall, looks to be right where the old OBS underhood relay/fuse panel/whatever was, they are just studs sticking out of the firewall (sorry for my terminology).

what are these? grounds? are they connected through the firewall to fuses/relays? just trying to get an idea of whats going on there.

    thanks

That is a power distribution block. One main power lead comes to it and then supplies a large number of other places with 12V power.

got it, so its not a bunch of grounds, its a bunch of +12v terminals tied directly to the + terminal on the battery?

is that pretty standard way to do the wiring for the swap too? it looks pretty clean that way.

It's a factory block, we just used the block to tie his stereo system and other stuff to power. It's a handy device.

When doing grounds, be sure every major component is grounded. Tie the chassis to the block, the block to the chassis (at 2 pts), the block or chassis to the battery, and the battery to the fenders. You can't have enough grounds.
