Has anyone ever noticed an inconsistant idle on their truck? I have an 05 z71 with a 5.3. When im sitting at idle it will hold at about 700rpms or so than drop down a little and kinda lope like it were camed. Trying to figure out if this is normal. thanks
When you first fire them up cold they run in open loop mode and usually a little rich. Once they get into closed loop, using O2 sensors, they lean out a little and you'll hear the cam and any misses due to poor tuneup.
