    Park brake repair

This 2000 Tahoe I just bought has no park brake. I can't believe I was stupid enough not to step on it when I test drove it. Oh well. My mechanic says it's shot, needs new drums, rotors, pads. I didn't know it had drums as well as rotors but he said it was the design then, he didn't sound like he liked the design. Anyway, I have a neighbor that's a pretty good shade tree mechanic. If I could find some repair instructions he and I could probably do it and save me $100 labor. I've tried to find an online repair manual but no luck. Does anyone have a link to a step by step for this?

Go to your local Autozone and have them go on their new Znet system and print you out the instructions.

The closest one is about 40 miles away so I do most my business with the NAPA and Checker that are about 12 miles away. I didn't now they would do that. I'll make it a point to find their store next time I'm in the area.

    Thanks.

Yeah, its a pretty good system. You can see the details/highlights on their website. They may sell some crap parts and have the worst sales help around but their computer software is top notch.
