here is what you need to put in the colorado. [IMG][/IMG] LS2 My wifes would be getting a turbo right now but she got in a wreck.

Eventually it would get something better then an LS2 but for now a cammed 4.8 with juice would move that little truck right on along just fine and be very econimical since Im getting a 35K mile 4.8 for 325 bucks complete with all covers and sensors.

thats the colorado ss concept they never came out with. The little 3.5 does pretty good once you put a header and CAI, seen some good numbers with some boost too. But the v8 is always better

Cody, do scenario #1. It is the best of both worlds... If you try to do #2 (hehe, that sounded funny), you will end up getting something else to play with anyway. You can't get away from that--we all have the bug and have to feed the need! And since you have a lot of knowledge with the LS based motors, having that cheap 4.8L to play with would be no big deal for ya. And like you said--keep the mods on the Dmax to just a CAI, exhaust, and a programmer. Those things can get a lot of power from minimal mods. But I would recommend the Edge programmer over EFI live. With the Edge 5 different performance settings are available on the fly... BUT, having EFI live would give you the chance to tune both vehicles...

With EFiLive you can do switchable programming, they only have it for the LB7s right now but Im told the LLYs arent far behind from having that too. So basically you have a switch to go from a DD tune to a race tune or whatever. Ill tune it with efi, you can do some pretty cool **** to diesels with efi that you cant do with edge or ppe. Once I get the rest of my stuff paid off here in the next two months Ill really start looking for a black rc colorado with power windows and locks and a manual, that combo is pretty hard to find but alot of the extremes or whatever have that but they want a couple extra grand for them.

Why don't you buy a car that you can't modify? That way, you don't have anymore decisions to make, hahah jk!!
The regcab sounds like a good idea.

Yeah Allen thats NOT going to happen
I have to have the dmax so of course it can be modded and Ill have to do a few things to it, Im jsut thinking having something else to play with will keep me sane on the truck i really need for work. For some reason keeping something stock just isnt an option.
Allen you may consider using efilive to make your dmax tunes, I have been doing alot of reading on the subject and it seems efi have ALOT more tables to play with then HPT.
