Truck will not move in drive. HELP

Last weekend I put a new trans pan on my truck. I did the usual procedure after refilling it but did not drive it. I just tryed to drive it and in reverse it goes just fine but when I put it in drive and push the gas the truck does not want to move. It seems like the trans is loading up like i was holding the brake. I checked to see if the parking break was holding and it is not. The truck does move but very slow? What could be the problem??

if you just changed the fluid, i would say its low on fluid. just my guess, unless you accidentaly touched something else.

Did you remove or change the filter, maybe you forgot the gasket that seals the filter to the valve body. How much fluid did you refill it with? Maybe you unpluged some wires inside the pan or on the side of the tranny.

If you replaced the pan for a larger higher volume pan you definitely needed more than 9 quarts of fluid to replace what was there. Two quarts low and it's a no go. Did the new pan come with an extension for the oil filter and did you install it? If the filter was installed too low and close to the pan it may not be picking up enough fluid.
