    Want to build a Turboed Silverado

    I want to turbo my 99 5.3l silverado, I'm building a kit kind of like the sts kit, my goal is 425hp at the wheels, running 8-10#'s of boost.

    But I'm still a little lost when it comes to picking the correct turbo and ar's this truck is my daily driver but it will see the track every now and then.

    Here are some of the turbo's I've been looking at, what do you guys think
    here is the Garrett but the one I was thinking about buying was a .81 ar for the turbine

    eBay Motors: Brand New REAL! GARRETT GT4088 T4 Turbo (item 170164925815 end time Nov-08-07 09:12:01 PST)

    Also I still don't know what tuner I should use either Ls1edit or Hptuners

    and where can I find bigger injectors, whats the biggest I can go without changing fuel rails or anything, will my walbro 255 fuel pump handle running 10#'s of boost

    also should my maf be before or after the intercooler
    2005 Sierra Denali, 6.0 LQ9, MAF Tune With HPTuners, Exhaust, Walbro, 4l65e with transgo, and billet servo's. HID's all around.

    After the intercooler. The MAF may also incorporate your air temp sensor. You'll want the PCM to measure things just before they go into the intake.

    If STS go with the .81 A/R on the exhaust and the .67 A/R on the intake. # 42 injectors an inline fuel pump, Have Allen Nelson do a S/D tune and ditch the MAF. If you use the MAF, run it after the intercooler for cooler intake air reading.
    My old setup was like this except we went with the #68 injectors and a 220/220 .581/.581 on a 115 cam. 475.7hp. It drives like normal you will never know it has a turbo until you put your foot in it.

    On forced Induction, I would think MAP is the way to go. MAF on N/A

    MAF will be fine. With the HP range you are wanting it should be fine.
