    need a transmission

    I bought a 5.3 for my 89 chevy truck. the truck has a 4.3 with a five speed. I have not heard of anyone using these transmissions. What do you guys recommend 700r4, 4l60 or th400? i've thought about the six speed but I will have to save alittle more to get one.

    Get the 4L60e or a 4L80e for HD applications. The 89 5 speed is weak.
