trans problem

well today on my way back from work i gave it more than half throttle from 2nd gear to 3rd gear, from 2nd before going into 3rd it revved up a bit (like it neutralizes) then shifts into 3rd and it dont do it during normal driving just when i give it more than half throttle

Sounds like you're getting ready to lose the 3-4 clutch pack. Check your fluid level.

well does being 1qt low have anything to do with the problem

I wouldn't think one quart would do it. 2 quarts, yes.

well i got back my truck 2day and works fine all they did is a tranny service, change the filter and oil and everything esle was fine and drove fine also

good thing you took it in when you did, then. Sounds like it would have been dead shortly. That's the same symptom a lot of guys on here have quoted just before losing the trans. Most often there was a torque convertor in the equation plus a PCM code.
