Many of you have probably already heard this but thought I'd post the article anyway . Depressing but hopefully GM can revamp their image somehow . Unfortunately public perception is usually inaccurate and many people believe american cars suck . I recently bought a Buick Regal GS with the supercharger and I love it ! Toyota !

As long as we keep buying cheap parts made outside the US we support foreign sales taking over US sales. It has to become a mindset to keep US money in the US. Sure, Toyotas are assembled in many places in the US but some models are also imported as fully assembled cars. We bitch and complain about child labor in foreign countries but we rush down to the store to pay $25 or a part or clothing that costs us $35 if it's made in the US. Say goodbye to American jobs if we don't support American companies. Before long we will become a third world country due to the fact that there will no longer be simple manufacturing jobs for the common uneducated citizen.

well, i agree, but too many people skimp off govt. money because they can. People get what they deserve, I may not be a smart dude but I also know that life is more than being well educated. People are as well off as they wanna become and I don't buy into the fact that a factory job is as good as ANYONE can do. People wanna bitch and complain and say the govt. makes wrong decisions. idk there's a fine line between helping and hurtting people and I try not to lean on anyone too much.

I agree with you Red , but , I think it's already too late because hardly anyone cares . Look at what happened to Walmart and Sam's body was barely cold when they started sending the work over to China . Ross Perot may have turned out to be a nutty president but he was sure as hell right about the giant sucking sound , wasn't he ? What irritates me the most (well , secondly the most after the cheap shit they make over there ) is the fact that we're doing business with a hybrid government - the communist/capitalists of Red China . As far as I'm concerned it's like some kind of freak mutant that shouldn't have survived past birth . We play by the rules mostly here in America - high wages , workers rights , unions , fair wages , EOE , anti-discrimination laws etc , etc ,etc . !! They don't have to follow any of those laws and the workers get paid crap and we're doing business with the enemy ! We're blindly helping the rats the clean out the cheese factory . This is what I wish we could get all of America to see and it might force juggernauts like Walmart to change .But I think it would require a 1960's / Woodstock type scale of revolution to get their attention and bring about change which has about a snoballs chance in hell of ever happening again . That rant oughta put you all to sleep !
