in my opinion that is not a $43,000 truck even brand new. it is bad ass, but seems to me u could build a better truck for $43,000. it needs a few things to get into that price range:1 is painted mirrors, 2 is a drop, 3 is color match all that cheap black plastic. NICE truck, but u can do better for the money(when new).![]()

You could have a much nicer truck for that kinda dough, especially performance wise. A blower is gonna set ya back around $5K, or just go with nelson's new trick turbo setup. Or get a lot of
. Not a $32K truck like he's asking, just my

It looks to be ligit and i didnt know that jg made stepsides but i wouldnt doubt it, but like allstar said, they are badass trucks but if i went out and bought a bone stock truck and upgraded it, i would have a lot more truck than that for 43,000

you forget that they have to pay the laborers to do the work. Customizers get 80-100 an hour. There's a lot of work involved in doing all the installations and customizing. First they buy the parts and sell them at MSRP, add the labor, the seats and custom skins aren't cheap, I'd say they're about $2000 just for them. I don't know what all comes on a JG truck but it gets pricey. Wheels and tires are what, about $2500? Custom paint might be 2-3k. Brakes probably 2k. The blower with install is probably about 7k after tuning and custom additions. i know i miss the cost of customizing quite often. Little things get forgotten in the prices. I find the price completely believble.

43k is the msrp not what he actually paid for it. Those trucks new go for 25k to 35k new. He is tryin to get the money he paid for it. That is why buying used is not always the best bet. You could go down and pay the same for a brand new truck with no mileage on it. Just tryin to jack up the cost with the 43k thing so he is not taking any loss and you feel you get a bargain on it.![]()

i saw this lookinf for another silvy. but when i saw it i said. " a jg red stepside?" hmmm.. i wouldnt buy it though.![]()
i dont think its a Joe Gibbs. The more i think about it ive never seen a stepside JG. and if JG did make that truck they lowered their standards by not colormatching at least. id dont see any custom paint on there either? looks like someone bought a few JG items from someone and slapped it on this truck to me, and maybe a supercharger like it says. Red anyone on this site can build that same truck for less that that, even with labor and all kids of stuff. the commomn person may not could(cuz of the hookups most of us have), but all uve gotta do is shop around. by my estimation u could get a truck for 15,000, a 6.0 and tranny for 5,000, a supercharger and the works for 7,000(with forged goodies) custom rims and tires (2500) a drop expensively for 900. and thats overpaying for everything u still get up to what like $30,400 for amuch stronger truck. im just saying anyone with ANY knowledge wouldnt pay over 25,000 for that truck new or used.
I hear you. I know some of us could build it for a lot less. Those top name builders get a premium price for their labor. Joe Schmoe at the corner garage can do the labor a lot cheaper and may be able to do the same quality of work but it would not have the same reputation as a Saleen, JG or other top builder. Their reputations and work quality gets the big paydays. I'm still not too sure JG is even a top builder. AFAIK he is just a name, a football coach that owns a NASCAR team. Who was he before NASCAR in the auto world, a nobody?
