It's back and running great. Trans shifts firm and I am happy with it. Here's the problem. I've got a real hard-on for a Tahoe or Denali(6.2L).
If I trade in the truck, I lose my ass in mod $$$. I'm gonna lose either way, but I'd like to minimize my losses.
Who would buy my entire forged 348 motor, trans, turbo, fmic, meth for lets say $5000.00 + your running 5.3 and trans (need exhaust too)? I think that's a fair price considering the investment as follows.
motor $2600
turbo kit $4700
fmic $600
meth$250
trans $1800
cam $350
heads $950
60# injectors $350
labor $2000'ish
$13,600 total spent (recently) not to mention the thousands I have lost by breaking/replacing stuff.
This hobby is expensive.
motor/turbo has less than 5000 miles, trans has less than 1000 miles.
Of course I will take it to the track just 1 more time (where I will probably break it all again).
I feel it's a strong high 12 second package in MY 5250lb truck. Imagine in a RCSB truck.
