guys ran into yet another problem today. it seems as though GM fucked me over(sorry for the language but this shit is getting nerve racking). took the TC off the v6 a few days ago, and went to put it on the lq4 today, and the bolt holes dont line up. so i tried taking the v6's flywheel off and putting it on the lq4 and the bolt holes dont line up. so yeah i'm basically fucked, and it looks like im probably gonna have to get a new TC, how does everyone feel about just a YANK 2600?

If you are interested I have a TCI 2600 stall for sale with 1500 miles on it for 275.00 shipped. In my opinion it seems like the yanks are hit or miss. Some guys have no problem, and some guys do. good luck

I'm consdering a higher stall converter also. I talked to Dustin (TRT Performance) and Allen (Nelson Performance). Dustin said the TCI's were giving them problems lately and he's now steering away from them. Allen said he likes the Yank's (runs one in his Avalanche) and the 2600 stalls at about 3000.

Another option for you (the one I'll likely go with) may be to get one from Performance Transmission. Go here http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L60E.htm and scroll almost to the bottom. The Super Street Raptor is $295.00. Not a bad deal.

I have a Yank 2,600 waiting to go in now. I got rid of a TB stall for it, and it should be great.

Im the guy helping him and we still need to know why they wont match up and what we need to do? This shit is getting very F*in nerveracking. If he does get a new torque converter to line up with the Fly on the 6.0 will it go into and match up with his 4L60E tranny?

What year is the LQ4? Early 6L engines have a different flywheel set up.

    BE CAREFUL......

First question, does the input shaft of the transmission have a pilot on the end of it about 1/2" in diameter? If so, that's a totally different transmission than the V8 trucks use. The LSx type engines use a 300mm input shaft that has nothing but spline at the end of the shaft. To use the old style transmission and TC you will need a spacer and bolts for the end of the crankshaft if you have the input with the pilot. You can redrill or slot the existing holes in the flywheel to match the proper bolt hole pattern.
