Thread: STS kit used PT74, FMIC, Meth....possibly

    Compression test shows #7 cylinder is dead. Pulling the motor tomorrow and taking it to the machine shop. Will try to replace just the 1 piston/ring if possible. If not, the whole set up will be changed. Option 1: put a stock 5.3 in an sell it / trade it. Option 2: build a 408-427 ls1 n/a with forged internals (f the turbo, maybe NOS). Option 3: just a nice 6.0 with the patriot heads and a big ol' cam (cheap route).

    Either way the turbo is for sale. STS kit 12k miles rebuilt precision T74 turbo(2000 mi), Custom FMIC, Methanol kit, Boost gauge. Boostaholics enjoy, I'm done.

    hmm.. I only dream that i could buy that. But i just dont have the cash right now. Set up a payment plan?? haha. Do you have any idea what you want for it? I dont have any clue what a used turbo goes for&#33;

    Get an iron block 6.0L 402 forged and keep everything you got. It will hold up. If you do sell everything I may take the meth kit off your hands.

    #7 is always the first to go in a GenIII engine. I don&#39;t know why but it&#39;s also the same one that messed up on my nitrous explosion. Maybe it has something to do with turbulence at the back of the manifold?

    i remember allen talking about injector flow rates and how they were putting more flowing injectors in that cylinder up at nickens to keep that shit from happening...
