Well I went out to WRP today and made some passes. I improved a little over my previous times but not as much as I would have liked. I tried something different, I did a big smokey burnout and immediately staged the truck, instead of doing a dryhop or two before staging. I also dropped my tire pressure down to 18psi from the previous 20psi. The truck hooked up pretty good but I was afraid to stall it up past 1200 rpm for fear losing traction ( we only got 2 time trials & I wanted to make the best of them). BTW I went out in the 2nd round with a red light. This was my best timeslip.

Nice times there. You've got me beat by a full second without the spray. I guess I need to try some true duals and headers to catch you. You're getting some great numbers with a 98 engine.

Thanks alot guys. Something I forgot to mention is my mph dropped off a bit and I couldn't figure out why at first but then on my last pass I realized it was shifting into 3rd as I was going through the traps. My tranny is stock and shifts pretty lazy from 2-3 so I think this is the reason for the lost mph. I figure if I raised my shift point by a hundred rpm it would solve the problem.
