Did i ask this before?
When i do a WOT 1-2 shift i hear a squeel or squeek coming from the trans?
I was told this was the bands and not indicating any problem or causing harm to the trans.
Anyone else hear anything like this?

I've heard the question before and the answer was they thought it was the fan belts and accessories losing traction.

Only squeel mine makes on a WOT 1-2 shift is the tires breaking loose

If it is infact the bands making that noise, wouldnt that mean your transmission is on its end, I dont think a tranny would make those noises if it was in good condition.

Not the fan or accessory belts for sure.
Only occurs during hard 1-2 shift. Coming from trans. Only 7500 miles on tranny!
Bands dont slip?

Take it back to whomever built the trans and get at least a report filed with them that there is a squeel coming from the transmission so you have your bases covered. Also have them check for proper fluid pressure at shift rpm. If it's losing pressure at high rpm you could be slipping the 2nd gear band. If you paid someone good money to build you a trans, I'd sure be banging down their door if it's making strange noises.

I think you're on the right track there. No one has built the trans, but i did install a shift kit and vette servo. I am also running synthetic fluid. I will take it to a trans shop to have the pressure checked first.

I have heard from a few trans shops not to run synthetic fluid in a performance transmission, it's too slick. It works great for a daily driver that doesn't get hotrodded.

After my tune I got the squeel. I changed to a Gatorback belt and the squeel went away. Try it, it is one way to make sure.

Good Luck
