Ok I'm a 19 year-old guy with a 1999 reg. cab silverado. It currently has a 4.3 l v6 in it and is about 1200 miles from 100,000 miles. I've been working on it and trying to get by for a while and now really want to change to some sort of v-8. I have heard that a 4.8l in a smaller truck is pretty quick and would be interested in a 5.3l if the power warranted the weight difference. Ideally I'd love to have a 6.0l with 345 hp dropped in it but don't know exactly what all that takes to do. The other option that I've also considered is a LS1 or LS2 replacement. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. And Hey Brandon thats a sweet truck you brought to Thanksgiving!

If I had the funds I'd buy it and toss out my LS1!
