swapped out 4.8 to 6.0 runs fine but sets p0101
maf performance. can program pcm to denali
VIN# fixes maf, but screws up trans calibration.
any suggestions. On manipulating pcm to think
its still seeing airflow #s of 4.8.2003 truck.

Get Allen to burn you a PCM with the corrections for the 6.0L engine and to turn it up for the performance you are going to want. If the PCM program you loaded into the PCM was for the 80e instead of a 60e I can see where you had problems. Did it have all the same drivetrain components as your 4.8?

You could just find a tune from a vehicle that had the 6.0 and 60e and have that loaded into your PCM or find one in a boneyard already programmed and swap them out.

Allen should be able to fix you up with a program that will work all around. A 5.3L PCM should be able to control the 6.0L and 60E. Are you using the 6L MAF or the 4.8? Was the MAF descreened or damaged some how?

all 3 engines use same maf. its not damaged or
descreeded. pcm compares maf #s to what is stored
in pcm cal. for various loads map, tps, eng speed and if
they dont match p0101 will set.

Your stock pcm will work fine, there is a place in hptuners to change the engine displacement that allen will have to fix and modify the trans settings to match your combo and set you up with a performance tune. The same MAF is used for all 3 engine sizes as are most of the sensors. Why would you want the pcm to see airflow numbers of a 4.8 if you have a 6.0 engine??
