    Hey Guy to You

The Nelson tune will make a huge difference by itself!

First, nix the BBK, save your money. Maybe a mild port job on the stock TB if you're so inclined. The actual gains are debatable, but at least makes a cool sound, lol

Your std tranny w/ the LS is the 4L60E, so I'm in the "Traction Camp". For maybe $500-$1000, higher stall torque converter, shift kit and some other tranny upgrade bits and pieces. Fully build that baby for maybe another $500 in parts. Add traction bars like Caltracs. To get the full benefit of any other "power adding" project (LT headers and cam, forced induction, beefier heads, etc etc) you gotta get the useable power to the pavement.

E-fans are another nice mod. Although it doesn't "add" power, you get some back by losing the heavy old clutch fan. Since you got the 05' it might already have them.

You can find the 160* stat here at T Byrne:

    (scroll down a ways)

    Good luck.

Welcome I myself love rcsb trucks, and I have the option of 4WD launch :flipoff: I'm going to the track tomorow to try to hit the 14's (crossing fingers). Sounds like a nice truck. If I were you I would hold off for a week or so and stay reading the forums, they have saved me a lot of money by not doing the common things, but doing things that make a difference. I did my LS1 fans for about $150, and picked up 2/10's. Hard to delieve yes, but I have the slips to prove it. I have a Z-71 that is nocking on the door of a 14 sec 1/4 with over 100k miles. Stock intake, etc the only thing you see when you pop my hood is the fans, and red plug wires. And it sounds almost like every other dualed out truck out there. Only diff is my exh is single, and the lope is the cam. Anyway enjoy, and have fun.

    2008 CCSB "tow truck" Slooowwww
