burnt valves, leaking head gasket or busted piston ring lands.

hopefully it's the head gasket, much easier/cheaper fix

Sorry guys, adjoining cyl's 3 & 5, was in a hurry when posting..........that's why I thought the head gasket may be the problem

Yea adjacent cylinders so it sounds like a head gasket so u may be lucky there. But the worse thing u can do for an engine is let it sit. Fix it and run it good and often

Do a leak down test with the valves closed and the plugs out, that will tell you every thing you need to know.
