    Question Do i have to retune pcm installed 6.0 from a 4.8 2000 silverado...thx's for help!!!

    thx's for the help!!!! installed a 6.0 into 2000 silverado every thing is Stock!!!!
    does the pcm have tob reflashed with a 6.0 tune???????

    Just get a full performance tune. Its much easier. Is it mated to a 60e or 80e?

    if everything seems to work fine no you dont, BUT yes it would benefit you if you do!

    i been running on a 5.3 tune in my z71 which has a new 6.0 without any issues!! one of these days ill work on the tune lol

    ....yeah i would have thought that at least it should run ok, We started it but its smoking black funes that of course means it's burning to much gas, somebody said that the injectors hoses or covers not connected right...man i'm no machanic.... we're look'n into that, thx's for input..........

    black smoke can also be detonation.
