Request help identifying non-ECM wire in '89 305

Apparently my friend (really, it wasn't me) was a little hasty in disconnecting wires from the engine and we're trying to find out what the wire is. Coming from the bulkhead connector on the driver's side is a purple wire that we can't ID. I have the ECM wiring that shows O2 and MAP sensor wires are purple, but this wire didn't go to the ECM.
    thanks

if it is a large gauge purple wire it goes to the starter solenoid.

I guess there are 2 purple wires in the convenience block. We have the starter solenoid wire identified. It's the other we're not sure of. From the inside of the truck, it would be in the upper left of the lower block. Does that help?
    thanks for checking.

I think one should be the TCC brake switch wire.

Old Nash: Yep, I have those figured. There are 2 others going into the convenience block on the drivers side. 1 is the starter solenoid, and the other is ??
    classic79: TCC? What's that?
Thanks for the help guys. This is a great forum.
