    NNBS fuel system...

Someone explain the fuel system on the NNBS for me please. I have heard that the regulator is built into the fuel pump and I was wondering if I installed the Walbro I just got if I will need an aftermarket one. I may be seriously over hinking this. If I have to get an aftermarket regulator, which is the best to get? I'd prefer to get something I can adjust to around 65 PSI at all times.

its funny, my nnbs truck has a variable speed/volume pump and you can control the pressure and volume through the tune. I have an electronic fuel pressure gauge and when I go WOT with the turbo my pressure goes from a steady 54 psi reading on the gauge to 59 psi even though I thought I had the tune locked to a steady pressure of 58 psi. You need to find out if you have the variable speed fuel pump controller on your truck before doing the walbro or you may be better off running a whole new power supply from the alternator to the fuel pump with a relay like racetronix or casperelectronics sell, the hotwire kit.

Where is the controller located? Is that the easiest way to tell if I have the variable speed pump?

The fuel pressure control module is at the back of the truck, driver's side on the crossmember near the rear bumper. There could be as many as three items back there, closest to the frame is the FP control module, then the trailer brake control relay and then the trailer brake control module

I'll check in the morning and see what I've got. I'm really hoping I don't have the variable speed pump so I don't have to hassle with the hotwire kit.

This is about all I see back there. Most of it seems to run to the trailer plug and such. This is definitely the closest thing to the frame though. I'll have to drop my spare to see more.

You said close to the frame. Damnit Greg! On top of the spare is NOT close to the frame.
