    lifter alignment

    i pulled the lifters and on one side there is a little hole, i was wondering does that need to face the front or back of the engine.

    doesnt matter, there is a groove all around to get oil to it

    been on here since 03...has built a few engines...ya he's sure
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    I've asked myself the same question, answered it in my head the same as Greg, put it back in whatever direction....and it worked. He's correct.

    Doesn't matter, but if it makes you feel better just line it up the same as the other 3 in that tray...

    I bought a piece of all thread the size of the bolt and cut it to 6" long, added two washers and a nut. A bolt longer than stock will work, also. Some have said that an LS6 bolt is longer and will work to draw it on. I can't see how the LS6 bolt could be longer but if it is it would be a good one to have to draw it up.
