    One more issue (i hope)

    ok here it goes,im dropping in the ly6 today and find out the flywheel on the ly6 if different from the 4.8,,,no biggie right?so i just swap em........haha .now the issue......

    heres a pic of the crankshaft on the 4.8 (short)


    heres the one on the ly6 (long)



    tranny and engine dont wanna meet up...damm flywheel is hitting the verter first.... someone or something must not want me to do this swap....been nuthin but issues lol

    that one has a crank spacer on it for an 80e style converter. Unbolt it and remove the flexplate and spacer. Use the ones from the 4.8 on it.

    damm so the van had an 80e lol...man i didnt think it come off...thanks!!

    yeah, all the vans have an 80e transmission.

    at first i thought i was stuck with one of them long crankshaft motors...but iread the gen iv were all the same

    how do u remove that spacer,just pry it?

    it should tap off actually. mine didnt have this spacer or anything like that.
