    4L80E Question

I currently have a 05 model 5.3L that I am swapping into my 81 GMC and I am looking into putting a 4L80E transmission into the truck as well. I found a 80E that was said to have come out of a 2000 3500HD Diesel GM Part # 24208421 stamped on it. Will this tranny work w/my set-up?
