    Crank Pully bolt

    i have been trying to get the bolt off for almost 2 days now, i have used 2 air guns breaker bars and all kinds of WD40. anyonw have any ideas that will work. i also tryed the pull the starter and put a screw driver in the flywheel to lock down the engine. nothing seems to be working. i need help before i just give up.

    just use a long breaker bar, also slide a pipe over the bar for added leverage. we've done many and have never had one that wouldnt come off.
    sounds like you just need more leverage.

    how do i lock down the engine so it wont turn over.

    i slide a solid piece of metal like a crow bar i the harmonic balancer and let it it hang up on the ac bracket might have to cut it , i also have a 4 foot cheater pipe on a breaker bar. . good luck

    Yep thats what I did. A bar through the HB and torque away. I think the factory put some threadlocker on the bolt. Thats why it is tight.

    ratchet strap will work to, wrap it around the balancer then hook it to the frame, motor, fender, where ever...then put your big boy pants on and give it hell

    do yourself a favor and buy a longer bolt to draw it on or get a 6" long piece of all-thread and appropriate nut and a couple washers, you will save yourself a lot of frustration.

    thanks for all the help. i finally man uped and bought a big boy impact gun, 500 lbs of torque was all it took to break it free. thanks again for all the input. i post a video when its all done
