Finally got to run this ugly ass truck yesterday with a bunch of great guys! It seemed everyone washed their trucks before we met, mine had about 1/2 inch of dirt on it, lol. oh well, hence the screen name.

We'll have to get together more often, we're all so close! I can think of about 5 more guys who would have went.
We should be able to get more than 15 members out there! Who knows where it will lead to.

The trucks is feeling pretty strong. I didn't think it would run as good on the track as it did. On the street, it doesn't take but 3/4 throttle to turn the truck side ways at 50mph, so it really wasn't pulling hard, just spinning. When i got to the track, there wasn't much slipping (except at launching) and it felt nice.

The truck is a '94 reg cab, 6.0L-stock, STS turbo, 3200stall and built trans.
    Results,
    60' - 1.74
    330ft - 5.02
    1/8mile - 7.83
    1/8mile mph - 87.33
    1/4mile - 12.38
    1/4mile mph - 106.48

No excuses, but the launch was lousey, no traction, but it still did good. Hopefully, I can get some time this week to put on the intercooler, cam, and my 10lb spring, all the parts are here, just need a little bit of time.
After that, maybe a 4-link and small tub for the rear.

    see you guys soon,

Sounds like some really good times for the first time at the track! Once you hook up good you're going to be seeing some 11.xx timeslips. Which is better, a four link or caltracs? I've been looking at a four link myself since I am about to bag the rear end of my truck.

Thanks, I'm happy with the time.

I'm not sure, but I want to do a slight tub on the truck, nothing big, but I want some nice fat tires under there, so a four link kind of makes sense, I'll proably do bags too, i guess, I'm no expert at suspension.

10lbs or the cam should get me in the 11's, hehe, with some traction.

    thanks,

Great times! I would think the 4 link with bags would be the best, most tuneable and strongest setup. Still pretty good times low 12's with a stock truck supension and some street slicks. I guess you better add a roll cage and harness to that list, you'll be in the 11's soon enough and 10's here you come! I still read all the time that those STS turbos don't and won't work LOL! Hard to get some "old school" people to think out of the box!

Ya, it's launching ok, with ok traction, but i'd like to see that trap speed a tad higher, but I'm happy with the time.

I'm only shifting at about 5600rpms, after cam, it'll be a lot higher,

    later,

So... How big a tire can you put on the rear of that without tubbing it?
