    Headers caused some problems

Hey guys, I just installed a set of headers on my 2005 5.3 silverado. They went in great and everything, but I have a few engine DTC's now and I can't figure out what is wrong. The DTC's are: system too lean. O2 sensor (bank1, Sensor 1) low voltage. and Multiple cylinder misfires. I changed the plugs and the wires. But I still get the codes. I clear them out with my laptop, and it even idles rough when the codes come on. I need some advice.

Did you put loctite or anything similar on anything when tightening it back up?

Not to change the direction of this thread but how exactly do you tune for headers? Add more fuel and ign timing?

Are the plug wires OK? Some headers can burn them causing it to misfire. You need a tune if you don't have one already, My headers caused all sorts of problems also.

try replacing all the spark plugs, they get cracked so easily and cause tremendous issues when cracked. NGK TR55's a about $1.50 each.

Ya I figured I had to get it tuned, I did change the plugs and wires and used loctite(temp. specific for engine blocks). I was going to tune it anyway. Now I have a good reason!

You mean you used loctite on the header bolts and NOT the plugs right? You probably already know this but spark plugs ground through the threads and anything but antiseize would probably affect it.
