What is all involved in taking the throttle body off.im sure it needs a good cleaning.ive takin the intake off and cleaned it but im sure taking the tb off the intake would be a much better cleaning.my truck idle's like crap in the mornings when its cold.

First, I remove the intake tube from the TB. Then, I remove the accelerater cable, unplug the other plugs and/or hoses. Next, I have three bolts to unsrew. After all that I take the TB off and spray it down with a can of TB cleaner, until it is free of carbon buildup and etc. ( I use an old toothbrush to get some of the buildup off)

    Hope this helps!

Oh yeah by the way, I have never had a bad idle in the morning so I am not sure if the TB is the problem, but I am sure it want hurt to clean it.

    Good Luck.

yeah, bad idle is usually related to a bad or dirty idle air circuit controller. Take the IAC valve off and blow out the passages since they sometimes get plugged. If you've JB welded your throttle body while porting, if done, then it's not going to idle very well at all in the morning.
