    ? replacement reared.

Looking at getting a different rearend then came with my 2000RCSB. Would a 3/4 ton from the same year be a good replacement piece. Or is there another option. Not looking at re inventing the wheel just something stronger for the 370 twin we are putting in.

you could put it in, but it needs 8 lug wheels, and a shorter driveshaft.

Did you break it? You can build the 8.5 to be pretty strong.

Why not try and locate the 9.5 14 bolt from a 2WD Silverado SS? Has the same lugs and the driveshaft may not have to be shortened. Do you have 4 wheel disc brakes? If you get a 9.5 14 bolt with drum brakes, you will need to make spacers to run the disc brakes. Sometimes you may also have to move the spring perches. Also, you need to get the correct proportioning valve for the 9.5 14 bolt.

Naw its not broke yet, looking at this new engine putting out a good amount of power. And would like to be prepaired if and when I break it. 8.5 car rearend in my camaro we got to do 1.45 60's but it crossspline the minispool.
So I guess we will leave whats there until it breaks.
What about Cclip eliminators and larger axles for this rearend.?

C-clip eliminators, stronger gears, and stronger axles will help the 10 bolt a lot. But you know the limits of a 10 bolt...

Some Ford parts perhaps? I would say go to a Mopar 8.75, but a 9" is a lot easier to find.
