You can use flat or dished. If using stock style converter then an extension is needed for the guide hub on the converter for dished style flexplates and if you choose to use a flat flexplate you'll need the plate, spacer and longer bolts. I get the spacer parts from crateenginedepot.com. I believe Hughes makes the converter extension. You'll most likely have to elongate the holes to mate to the converter pattern.
